I have wanted to go back into consulting for the last few months because I miss meeting salespeople, managers and dealers from all over the country and working with them on growing their Internet Departments and showing them how to be unique and innovative in today's market. I also miss having the time to stay in touch with all of you via email, phone and through my blog.
When an opportunity came up where I could not only go back into consulting but also be able to work for a vendor that I have used at the last two dealerships I worked at, I took the opportunity as soon as it came up.
I was the Director of eCommerce for the David Thomas Auto Group the first saw VinSolutions CRM, ILM and Inventory Module. It had all the features that I was looking for and more so I switched both stores over to VinSolutions.
When I left the Subaru stores to be over Saturn of North Texas, I told them I would only be interested in the job if they switched to VinSolutions because it was that powerful of a tool. The only way I could effectively run an eCommerce Department was if I was using VinSolutions.
My new position at VinSolutions is Director of eCommerce Consulting where I will be able to work with existing VinSolutions customers, new dealerships coming on and the best part, also working with dealerships whether they use VinSolutions or not, who just want help with starting or growing their Internet Departments.
My focus will be the following:
*Helping dealers grow their Internet Departments through a proven process, system and technology.
*Department Set Up and Strategy
*Staffing and Training
*Dealership Analysis
*Website evaluation
*How to set more appointments
*Areas of Opportunity
*Used Cars 2.0
*In-House eCommerce Sales Training
*eCommerce Boot Camps
*V.I.D. Program (Virtual Internet Director)
*eCommerce eValuations
*Call Tracking Monitoring / Phone Coaching
As an industry, we are not going to sell more cars in the coming months so its all about, How do you take what you are already doing and do it better?
Where are your areas of opportunities and how do you take FULL advantage of them?
Once you find your areas of opportunities, then its all about making sure it is implemented and followed through with. You have to create and then guard your processes.
"Success is the sum of small efforts made day in and day out".
